Because He Cares, Our Valley Cares.
Our Valley Cares began with a simple belief: because He cares, we care. What started as a vision within Fresno Mission has become a Valley-wide movement of churches, nonprofits, and neighbors working together to care for youth in crisis—building the best systems and the best spaces so no child faces crisis alone.
An Open Letter to Our Valley
Forty-four times, the Bible talks about the fatherless.
It’s not a small theme—it’s the heartbeat of God the Father to care for His children.
Every day in our Valley, there are kids walking in shoes no child should ever have to wear—shoes of fear, hunger, abandonment, and exploitation. They’re not just up against a hard world; they’re being hunted by it. And the truth is, the system meant to protect them hasn’t worked… at least, not until now.
Here’s what gives me hope: Our Valley has the people, the resources, and the heart to change that story.
We’ve already seen what happens when churches, nonprofits, and neighbors come together at City Center—when the Body of Christ says, “no more.” Youth who once faced the streets alone are now surrounded by love, stability, and hope.
Now it’s time to take that movement Valley-wide.
That’s what Our Valley Cares is all about—creating the best system of care, in the best places of care, for our most vulnerable youth. Together, we can make sure no child spends a night outside, no young girl faces exploitation alone, and no youth ages out of care without a family walking beside them.
This won’t happen overnight. It’s a long road—but we’re ready to walk it.
Because He cares, we care.
Because He loved us first, we will love our neighbors the same way.
Yes, some shoes are harder to walk in. But when a city decides to walk with them—everything changes.
Let’s show the world what happens when Our Valley Cares.
Walk with us.

Who We’re Here For
Homeless Kids
Children who have nowhere safe to sleep tonight.
High-Risk Minors
Teens on the brink of crisis, facing danger at home or on the streets.
Foster/Transitional-Aged Youths
Young adults aging out of the system without the support they need.
Trafficked/Exploited Youths
Survivors of exploitation who deserve safety, healing, and hope.
A New System Is Needed
Young people in crisis are left to navigate a maze— homeless minors, trafficked teens, aging-out foster youths, kids on the brink.
The response is reactive. Fragmented. Short-term. They retell their story. They hit waitlists. They fall through gaps.
Most cities can’t connect what they already have into something that truly transforms lives.
Our Valley Is Changing That.
