TROY Center is a Fresno-based youth development ministry with a mission to mentor Central Valley youth, break down barriers to opportunity, and equip students to succeed. Through tutoring, life-skills training, mentoring relationships, sports leagues, and community engagement, TROY offers a safe haven where identity, purpose, and potential can grow. They operate via a three-phase model:
TROY Center fills a pivotal space: after immediate needs are met, they help youth stay in the story and partner them toward their full potential.
While some partners focus on crisis response (shelter, rescue, medical care), TROY specializes in long-term development—mentoring, tutoring, life skills, and connection. They help youth move beyond survival and into a posture of growth, contribution, and purpose.
TROY operates within schools and local neighborhoods, building presence where youth already are. In the collaborative model, they serve as the relational bridges that help youth engage with more intensive services in the Spees House or co-located partner programs.
Many youth who access crisis services need ongoing support to stay stable. TROY keeps them engaged, offering consistent relational touchpoints, accountability, and identity formation beyond initial crisis.
TROY’s “Success Vehicles” integrate with workforce partners, educational programs, and recreational opportunities in the Valley—helping youth translate potential into real pathways. In the OVC system, they act as connectors to jobs, training, arts, and leadership roles.
TROY’s public visibility—through sports leagues, outreach, school partnerships—strengthens the message that caring for youth is everyone’s responsibility. Their footprint communicates that OVC is not just a network behind closed doors, but a movement present in our community.
Supporting TROY Center through Our Valley Cares is investing in daily influence, relational roots, and life trajectories. Your gift strengthens mentorship, academic support, leadership pathways, and flourishing for youth across our Valley.
